WHAT: Current and former kidney and liver transplant patients will participate in a transplant reunion party on Sunday, December 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. Patients and their families will be able to meet Hospital staff and transplant surgeons and share their amazing stories.
Since 2001, the Hospital’s transplant team has performed 99 kidney transplants and 41 liver transplants. There are currently 23 patients in San Diego County waiting for organ transplants; some are as young as 2 years old.
