Extra! Extra! Read All About it! Chargers to Participate in Kids’ NewsDay

WHAT: Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary, The San Diego Union-Tribune and NBC 7 San Diego have partnered once again for the 22nd Annual Union-Tribune Kids’ NewsDay event. Look for the yellow aprons on street corners as the San Diego Chargers and more than 1,600 volunteers sell the $1 special edition newspaper in San Diego County on Oct. 25th. Every dollar raised will go directly to Rady Children’s to help ill and injured children. Kids’ NewsDay covers the advances being made and profiles the lives being changed at Rady Children’s. In 2010, the event helped raised more than $130,000 and more than 45,000 special edition newspapers were sold.

WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 25th, from 6 a.m. to Noon.

WHERE: Hundreds of locations in San Diego County (Media availability Friars & Frazee in Mission Valley)
Note: The San Diego Chargers and Charger Girls will be at Friars & Frazee from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
