More National Recognition
Rady Children’s Bernardy Center Earns Top Honors from U.S. News and World Report (2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009). The Helen M. Bernardy Center for Medically Fragile Children continuously rates as one of the nation's "Best Nursing Home" in U.S. News & World Report's survey of more than 15,500 facilities. Only those facilities with perfect five-star ratings from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid earn a place on this prestigious Honor Roll.
Rady Children’s Ranked Among Top Children’s Hospitals in the Nation by Parents magazine (2009). In addition to our Hospital ranking in the top 25 overall, our orthopedics division earned top honors, ranking number six in the country. Rady Children’s was one of only three West Coast hospitals in the United States in the top 30.

Rady Children's President and CEO Kathleen Sellick was named 2011 Woman of the Year by San Diego Magazine. The award is given to women who are providing exceptional leadership for the San Diego region. More than 140 women were nominated this year.
President and CEO Kathleen Sellick received the Leadership in Action Award from Mental Health America of San Diego County (2010) in recognition of Rady Children’s comprehensive behavioral health services Mental Health America of San Diego County was founded in 1942 as the first mental health advocacy organization in San Diego County. Its mission is to promote mental health, to prevent mental disorders, and to achieve victory over mental illness through advocacy, education, research, and service.
