In fiscal year 2012, Rady Children's:
- Provided care to 155,613 children.
- Had 15,911 inpatient admissions.
- Had 16,112 inpatient discharges.
- Had 222,754 outpatient visits.
- Helped 1,095 trauma patients.
- Had 68,105 emergency care visits and 39,351 urgent care visits.
- Performed 21,132 surgeries.
- Performed approximately 500 heart surgeries, 600 cardiac catheterizations and 9,625 echocardiograms. More on our Heart Institute.
- Cared for nearly 200 new cancer patients, attended to more than 15,000 outpatient visits, and performed more than 20 blood and marrow transplants at our Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
- Cared for more than 730 infants at Rady Children’s, an average of 40 babies every day; more than 480 infants at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas and Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla; and more than 350 infants at Palomar Medical Center. More on our Neonatal Services.

- Rady Children's 59-bed Helen Bernardy Center is the only pediatric skilled nursing facility in California. In a home-like environment, medically fragile and developmentally disabled kids receive round-the-clock care.
- The Ronald McDonald House, adjacent to Rady Children's, is available to families whose children are undergoing tests or treatment.
- Rady Children's Canine Care Therapy Program now includes 28 volunteer dogs. Dogs and their handlers are on Rady Children's campus five days a week, throughout the year.
- Patients at Rady Children's use more than 3,200 crutches each year.
- Each year, 68,000 intravenous (IV) lines are started at Rady Children's.
- Rady Children's gives out more than 21,000 popsicles a year to patients.
