Cardiology
The Division of Cardiology is part of Rady Children's Heart Institute at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. We are the largest and most comprehensive pediatric cardiology program in San Diego, Imperial and Orange Counties.
We provide state-of-the-art and family-centered care for patients from fetal life into adulthood. The specialized services provided include:

- Electrophysiology (heart rhythm disorders and pacemakers)

Echo Accreditation
Rady Children’s Echocardiography Laboratory has received accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL), a non-profit organization that evaluates echo labs based on various quality standards. Rady Children’s is the only pediatric hospital in Southern California to receive this accreditation for all echo exams: transthoracic, transesophageal and fetal.
Echocardiography is a widely used non-invasive test to help detect and manage many types of heart disease. An estimated 10 million echocardiograms are performed each year in the United States.
The ICAEL was established with the support of the American Society of Echocardiography, the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Pediatric Echocardiography to provide a peer-review mechanism to encourage and recognize the provision of quality echocardiographic diagnostic evaluations by a process of voluntary accreditation.
