The Ernest Hahn Critical Care Unit (CCU) at Rady Children's is fully equipped for the medical and surgical demands of critically ill children. Common injuries and illnesses treated in the CCU include:

Shock (sepsis, dehydration, etc)
Multi-organ system failure
Poisonings
Near drownings
Meningitis
