The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents – and the health of our community – through outstanding clinical care, world-renowned medical education, and cutting-edge research.
In its 2011-12 edition of "Best Children's Hospitals," U.S. News & World Report ranks our Gastroenterology program among the nation's best.
Our interdisciplinary team provides comprehensive care for children and adolescents with general gastroenterology disorders; liver disorders, including hepatitis, fatty liver, and biliary atresia; inflammatory bowel disease; motility and functional disorders; obesity; peptic disorders; eosinophilic esophagitis; polyposis and colon polyps; and feeding difficulties.
We also recently launched a motility center to care for children and adolescents with motility and functional disorders. The center is the first of its kind on the West Coast and one of only a handful of pediatric motility programs in the country.
