Dear Colleague: We would like to welcome you to San Diego for our 26th Annual Advances in the Practice of Pediatrics conference. This program is designed for pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and allied health professionals caring for children. We feature nationally prominent faculty who will present topics which focus on current issues in pediatrics. This year, we are honored to welcome Dr. Basil J. Zitelli and Dr. Mary Anne Jackson as our keynote speakers, as well as our own nationally recognized faculty. In addition, we close the conference with a review and discussion of the latest AAP maintenance of certification recommendations. For the first time, we will also offer an optional pediatric emergency and hospital medicine refresher course! Our conference combines lectures, interactive workshops, and question-and-answer sessions, as well as informal meet the faculty gatherings, to allow you the opportunity to interact directly with faculty and colleagues and assist you in solving problems you see in your everyday practice. By attending our course, you will: • Update your knowledge of clinical issues by reviewing the latest topics in pediatrics and recent advances in evidenced base medicine. • Increase your ability to manage and diagnose patients in your practice by reviewing and discussing cases with the faculty and your peers. Objectives Upon the completion of this course, you should be able to: • Enhance your visual diagnosis skills • Update your knowledge of allergy and immunology • Increase your ability to recognize and diagnose spells in children • Enhance your recognition and counseling on disturbed eating behaviors in children • Update your treatment practices for pneumonia and urinary tract infections • Review the latest identification and intervention strategies for traumatic brain injuries in children We look forward to seeing you in San Diego in March! - To view the program, click here
