Institutional Review Board
Rady Children's Institutional Review Board is responsible for the protection of human subjects involved in research activities conducted by Rady Children’s investigators. The IRB is registered with the federal government Office for Human Research Protection (OHRP) and meets every month to review research studies and oversee research activities to ensure the protection of the rights and welfare of all subjects.
- All research involving human subjects or their personal information is reviewed by the IRB.
- The IRB is a committee of people committed to the protection of human subjects.
- Each committee is made up of men and women of varying backgrounds, experience and expertise.
