Kohl’s Transportation Safety Program
Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death due to unintentional injury in children ages 5-14 in San Diego County. While not all motor vehicle crashes are survivable, the use of an age-appropriate, properly installed child passenger safety seat reduces the risk of death or serious injury by 71 percent.
Through a generous annual donation by the Kohl’s Cares Foundation, Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego is able to provide weekly child passenger safety seat inspections, participate in community events and other educational events to educate parents, and provide resources to make travel safer for everyone.
We have also developed a unique website to address all aspects of car safety.
