Rady Children's Specialists

Research and Clinical Trials

Through cutting-edge basic science and clinical research programs, we seek to discover better treatments — and cures — for endocrine disorders and diabetes.

Basic science research on diabetes is conducted at the Pediatric Diabetes Research Center (PDRC), a collaboration between Rady Children’s and the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, with an emphasis on developing a cell-based therapy for insulin-dependent (type 1) diabetes. Our researchers have gained national recognition for their work in diabetes and beta-cell biology. For more on the PDRC, visit their website.

Clinical trials are conducted at Rady Children’s. For active clinical trials, click here.
