To provide disadvantaged children the best possible care right here in San Diego, Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego formed a partnership with the Fresh Start Surgical Gifts charity. Through this partnership, reconstructive surgery and other medical services are provided at the Fresh Start Clinic at Rady Children’s by a volunteer team of surgeons and medical professionals from the Hospital.
Reconstructive surgery is provided to infants, children and teens with physical deformities caused by birth defects, accidents, abuse or disease. Every child receives the highest quality medical care, regardless of the family’s ability to pay.
Amanda Gosman, M.D., is a volunteer plastic surgeon and director at the clinic.
