Allison is a board-certified physician assistant and works closely with Henry Chambers, M.D., specializing in both sports medicine and cerebral palsy. Allison joined the Orthopedic and Scoliosis Center of Children’s Specialists of San Diego (now Rady Children’s Specialists of San Diego) in 2003. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science and earned her master’s degree in health sciences from the University of South Alabama in 2003.

Lynn ManheimLynn Manheim, M.S.N., CPNP
Lynn is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner and works closely with Eric Edmonds, M.D., specializing in pediatric and adolescent sports medicine. Her expertise is in fracture care. Lynn joined the Orthopedic and Scoliosis Center of Children’s Specialists of San Diego (now Rady Children’s Specialists of San Diego) in 2002. She graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She received her master’s in nursing and pediatric nurse practitioner degree from the University of San Diego.

Phil StearnsPhilip Stearns, M.S.N., CPNP
Phil is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner and works closely with Andrew Pennock, M.D., specializing in pediatric fracture care. He also has a special interest in pediatric hip and foot disorders. Phil joined the Orthopedic and Scoliosis Center of Children’s Specialists of San Diego (now Rady Children’s Specialists of San Diego) in August of 2000. He graduated from Iona College with a bachelor’s degree in biology and received his master’s degree in nursing from Yale School of Nursing in May of 2000.

Val joined our team in May 2010 as the Care Coordinator R.N. (specializing in pediatric and adolescent sports medicine) for Dr. Eric Edmonds. Previously, she worked as an inpatient R.N. on the Hospital’s Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Unit. Val came to Rady Children’s with more than 12 years of experience in the field of child and adolescent development. She has a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from San Diego State University and an associate’s degree in nursing.

Athletic Trainer

Kristina joined 360 Sports Medicine in July 2012. She has worked for numerous collegiate, club and high school sports teams and is able to get young athletes back to their sport in a timely manner through activity modification and specialized sports-specific training. She attended the University of Maine, Orono (2003-2007), where she received a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and physical education-athletic training. She earned her master’s degree in public administration at Villanova University in 2011. Kristina then completed a year-long residency program at Emory Orthopedic and Spine Center in Atlanta, enabling her to be an ideal physician extender in the sports medicine field.

Physical Therapists

Suzi has been a physical therapist since 1990 and specializes in sports rehabilitation, chronic pain, conditioning in obese patients and manual therapy. Her goal is to inspire and motivate all individuals in reaching their potential. With a focus on hard work, proper guidance and manual therapy, Suzi hopes to give each of her patients an experience that will be individualized and successful. She received her bachelor’s degree in health science from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

Jessica provides physical therapy to adolescent athletes. She has been a physical therapist since 1999 and has worked with semi-professional female soccer players, male ice-hockey players and professional female volleyball players to help them in their rehabilitation. Jessica received her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Colorado, her master’s degree in physical therapy from Northwestern University and her doctorate in physical therapy from AT Still University.

Susan became interested in pursuing a career in physical therapy after sustaining a back injury in gymnastics as a youth athlete. She is passionate about helping young athletes get back to their sport as quickly and safely as possible. As a former high level gymnast, she enjoys helping athletes reach their full potential when returning from injury. Susan received her Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2010 and her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2012. She became a board-certified sports clinical specialist in 2016.

Kelly Randich4Kelly Randich
Kelly has many years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults with orthopedic, neurological and sports-related injuries. She has been a clinician at Rady Children’s since August 2011. Kelly has developed and presented workshops for coaches, athletes and parents to educate the community on injury prevention. Kelly received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in 2004 and a doctorate of physical therapy from Midwestern University in January 2007.

Heather has been a physical therapist at Rady Children’s since 2015. She has a special interest in orthopedics, sports medicine, return to sport training and running biomechanics, specifically in the adolescent pediatric population. Heather’s goal is to provide individualized treatments and help her patients reach their highest potential in sport and play. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, she was a YMCA sports coach for a variety of sports. Heather earned her bachelor’s degree and doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Miami.

Angela has a passion for working with children, with an extensive volunteer history at institutions including Corazon, Habitat for Humanity and the Ronald McDonald House. She also has experience working with people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Angela’s goal is to pursue a master’s degree in child psychology so that she can enhance her contributions at Rady Children’s. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and social behavior from UC Irvine in 2015.
