Dr. Yu-Tsun Cheng is a board-certified pediatrician, with fellowship training and board certification as a specialist in sports medicine.
Earning his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh and completing a residency in pediatrics at UCLA, Dr. Cheng went on to complete two fellowships, the first in primary care sports medicine at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center and the second in pediatric emergency medicine at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. During his training, Dr. Cheng served as the team physician for multiple high school and college teams and provided medical care to athletes at several major events, including the Pasadena Marathon and the Ironman 70.3 California Triathlon.
Dr. Cheng’s clinical and research interests include pediatric injuries, sports-related concussions and integrating pediatric emergency medicine and sports medicine. He has lectured on numerous sports and emergency medicine-related topics both locally and regionally and has written chapters for textbooks on pediatric emergency medicine and sports medicine.
When not working, Dr. Cheng enjoys running, traveling, good bbq and spending time with his wife and family.
