The Southern California Cerebral Palsy Center at Rady Children's is one of the nation's most comprehensive programs dedicated to the care of children and adults with cerebral palsy. A multidisciplinary team of orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, occupational, physical and speech therapists, orthotists, social workers, and consulting specialists provide a complete evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for patients with cerebral palsy.
Rady Children's Orthopedic Team has been ranked as one of the top five pediatric orthopedic departments in the United States, a reflection of our dedication and expertise in the treatment of cerebral palsy. The orthopedic department at Rady Children's has been one of the leading research and teaching programs in the field of cerebral palsy for the past 30 years.
Each patient has unique needs based on their diagnosis: -- from the mildest form of cerebral palsy to the most severe. Our team is dedicated to understanding these needs and working with patients and their families to provide the most comprehensive care available. Our goal is to improve our patients' function and quality of life within the community. There are special cerebral palsy clinics, including clinics for spasticity evaluation and treatment.
During your visit you will meet a team dedicated to the care of cerebral palsy patients, including Dr. Chambers, program medical director; Allison Dickinson, PA-C, program physician assistant; and Carolina Schaber, R.N., program clinical director, who will evaluate the patient and provide the most comprehensive care and treatment plan. If you or your child need surgery, Rady Children's has a world-class system of hospitalists, pediatric anesthesiologists, critical care specialists and a full array of consultants.
