Helen Hayden-Wade, Ph.D., C3 Program Manager, provides vision and leadership for C3. She is responsible for the program’s management, planning, coordination and evaluation of its diverse functions and activities. Helen works to build collaborative and supportive relationships with parents and professionals in the San Diego community and to continue to oversee the provision of high-quality early intervention services to help maximize each child’s developmental potential. Helen received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Joint Doctoral Program of UC San Diego and San Diego State University in 2001 and her license in clinical psychology in 2003.
Jordyn Boerbaitz, C3 Project Coordinator, performs administrative operations, implements and leads quality and performance improvement projects, creates and reviews program policies and procedures, and coordinates and analyzes C3 data for regional-outcomes reporting and program evaluation. Jordyn has a master’s degree in public administration from San Diego State University and joined the C3 team in 2008.
Karen Delgado, C3 Research Associate for the Outcomes team, supports administrative operations, analyzes fiscal management, runs data reports and tracks departmental expenses, and supports the research analyst with data entry and evaluation tasks. Karen has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University San Marcos.
C3 North Central Team
Abigail Iniguez provides C3 research administrative support in the North Central region. She has an associate’s degree of science in child development from San Diego City College.
Ana Stiffarm, C3 Developmental Specialist in the North Central region, has a master’s degree in experimental psychology from California State University San Marcos and 10 years of experience working with children. She specializes in providing early intervention services for children with pervasive developmental disorders. She is responsible for screening, assessing and providing treatment plans and intervention services.
Elizabeth Eittreim, C3 Assessment Specialist in the North Central region, is pursuing her master’s degree in child development at San Diego State University. She provides administrative and classroom facilitation for Developmental Services.
Ember Lee, C3 Behavior Specialist in the North Central region.
Kallie Tettenburn, C3 Speech-Language Pathologist in the North Central region, has a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from California State University Hayward. Kallie assesses and treats children from birth to age 18 with a variety of receptive and expressive language disorders, as well as speech impairments and oral-motor difficulties.

Lorri Bauer, C3 Behavior Specialist in the North Central region, has a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in clinical psychology. Lorri has been a Rady Children’s employee for 12 years and has worked throughout San Diego county providing services to families at our C3 sites and in community settings. She provides one-on-one parenting consultations and facilitates parent education groups.
Reyna Clark, C3 Assessment Specialist in the North Central region, has an associate’s degree in preschool teaching from Southwestern College. Reyna has 13 years of experience working with children, with 8 years as a classroom teacher at Alexa’s PLAYC at Rady Children’s. She works with children from birth to age 5 to assess their communication skills, gross-motor skills, fine-motor skills, problem-solving skills and self-help skills, as well as their personal/social development.
Robyn Hamberger, C3 Occupational Therapist in the North Central region, has a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Ithaca College. She conducts evaluations and provides treatment and home programs to inpatients and outpatients from birth to age 18. She has advanced practice in feeding and swallowing difficulties and is a certified lactation educator counselor. She specializes in providing therapy to infants in the neonatal intensive care unit.
Robyn Wyzinski, C3 Physical Therapist in the North Central region, has been a licensed physical therapist since 2001. She has a doctorate in physical therapy from Clarke University in Iowa. Robyn works with children from birth to 18 years of age and has a specialized background in early intervention.
Sara Larson, C3 Developmental Service Aide in the North Central region, has a diploma in airline/travel from the International Air Academy and more than eight years of office administration experience.
C3 North Coastal Team
Analicia Fernandez, C3 Speech-Language Pathologist in the North Coastal region, has a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Gallaudet University. Analicia provides early intervention services to children from birth to age 6 with mild to moderate speech and language needs. She guides families through referral processes through speech and language consults and facilitates language groups in English and Spanish.

Cecilia Dueñas Fryckman, C3 Developmental Specialist in the North Coastal region, has a doctorate in clinical psychology from Loma Linda University. Cecilia provides developmental assessments for children who have been identified as having a developmental concern. Education and one-on-one development consultations for families with higher-level needs are also provided. Consultation with a multidisciplinary team and other Healthy Development Services providers is provided as part of routine care and coordination for families.
Danielle Sidoti, C3 Physical Therapist in the North Coastal region, has a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine. Danielle specializes in working with children on their gross-motor skills. Along with working at C3, she is also working at KidSTART and with Developmental Services, serving the pediatric and orthopedic population in an outpatient setting. Danielle strives to one day be bilingual and will try her hardest to perfect this skill, so please don’t hesitate to correct her if needed!
Donna Marmolejo, C3 Physical Therapist in the North Coastal region, earned her doctorate from Loma Linda University. Donna works with children from birth to age 21 who have a wide range of diagnoses. She performs diagnostic and prognostic exams to evaluate muscle, joint, nerve, balance, transfers, motor control, mobility, gait, endurance and overall functional activities. She also provides services through C3 to provide physical therapy consults and treatment sessions to children from birth to age 5.
Esperanza Morales, C3 Assessment Specialist in the North Coastal region, has a bachelor’s degree in history from California State University San Marcos and a bilingual cross-cultural language and academic development certification and single-subject teaching credential. She provides development assessments and treatment for children from birth to age 5.
Irene Hernandez, C3 Research Administrative Support in the North Coastal region, has two associate’s degrees from Palomar College, in accounting and general studies. She provides administrative and clerical support by processing, maintaining and supporting overall responsibilities related to departmental functions and systems.
Jenna Peterson, C3 Developmental Specialist in the North Coastal region, has a master’s degree in early childhood education from Mills College, with an early childhood special education credential. Jenna provides developmental assessments for children from birth to age 5. She also provides one-on-one developmental consultations, including treatment plans and intervention services for families of children that have been identified as having a developmental concern. In addition, Jenna facilitates infant massage courses.
Lisa Burfield, C3 Occupational Therapist in the North Coastal region, has a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Southern California. Lisa provides occupational therapy treatment and evaluations of children from birth through 18 years old. She also addresses a variety of diagnoses, including autism, feeding difficulties, sensory problems, fine-motor problems, visual-motor problems, and prematurity.
Maggie Kershaw, C3 Behavior Specialist in the North Coastal region, has two master’s degrees: one in social work from Loyola University and the other in child development from the Erikson Institute. She provides one-on-one parenting consultations and parent education groups.
Melethia Barnes-Cooper, C3 Site Lead and Speech-Language Pathologist in the North Coastal region, has a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Kansas. Melethia joined the Rady Children’s Speech team in 1991 and the C3 Team in 2003. She offers mentorship for C3 team members, collaborates with Healthy Development Services partners and participates in outreach with community members. Her clinical services include developmental assessments and speech-language treatment for families with children ages birth to 5 years old. She has extensive clinical skills for treating children up to age 18 in multidisciplinary clinics and community settings.
Stacy Alvarez, C3 Research Administrative Support in the North Coastal region (temp).
Xochilt Castillo, C3 Developmental Service Aide in the North Coastal region, has worked for C3’s Developmental team since October 2008. She has spent much of her time working directly with clinicians, assessment specialists and families, providing support during treatment classes. Prior to joining C3, she attended Cal State Fullerton and contracted with MAAC Project Head Start to provide Early Head Start and Head Start services for children ages 6 weeks to kindergarten-entry. In her current role, she enjoys applying her knowledge of early childhood development while supporting the needs of staff and families. She plans to pursue educational training in a healthcare career.
C3 South Bay Team
Alicia Ortega provides C3 research administrative support in the South region. Alicia has worked on C3’s administrative team since November 2008. Her duties include budget tracking, referral tracking, client scheduling, intake/registration, chart creation, staff calendars and case load monitoring, office coordination and general project support. Alicia received her Spanish bilingual assistant certificate in 2008 and hopes to use her superb organization and detail orientation to continue supporting C3’s mission.
Andrea Gonzalez¸ C3 Site Lead and Behavior Specialist in the South region, provides bilingual and bicultural one-on-one parenting consultations and parent education groups to families in a variety of community settings. Andrea has a master’s degree in social work, with a certificate in urban leadership, from Simmons College in Boston. She has 10 years of experience working in underserved communities and hopes to continue to provide support and advocacy to families in need throughout San Diego.
Cesar Gonzalez, C3 Behavior Specialist in the South region, provides bilingual and bicultural one-on-one parenting consultations and parent education classes to families. Cesar has a master’s degree in human behavior from National University and 10 years of experience working with children and teenagers, providing individual and group counseling services. In addition to working at Rady Children’s as a behavioral specialist, he also works as a behaviorist at the Imperial Beach Health Clinic, providing health and wellness classes and individual consultations to families.
Christina Mendoza, C3 Assessment Specialist in the South region, has worked for C3 since February 2012 and with Rady Children's since September 2010. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Diego State University and is a certified parent educator. She is bilingual and bicultural. During the past nine years, she has worked with infants, school-ages children and their families in a variety of settings. Christina strongly believes that society must meet the changing educational, cultural, and economic needs of the community. She has a passion to help families enhance their child’s development and overall well-being.
Diana Herrera, C3 Developmental Services Aide in the South region, provides support for the administrative and assessment staff. Diana is bilingual and bicultural and received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Diego State University.
Diane Marques, Developmental Psychologist in the South region, has a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Rhode Island. Diane provides developmental, autism and psychosocial evaluations for children from birth through age 6. She also provides psychological evaluations for school-age children.
Lizeth Andrade, C3 Assessment Specialist in the South region, has worked for C3’s Developmental team since September 2010. During her time at C3, she has used her skills with children and families to lead developmental classes and coach families as they navigate their child’s needs. Lizeth graduated in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in educational psychology from CETYS University. Her future career plans include using her knowledge and expertise to make a difference in the lives of children and parents by helping them to gain strength, raise their self-esteem and have a fulfilling life Lizeth will become a C3 developmental specialist when she completes her master’s degree in 2014.

Marlee Pfohl, C3 Assessment Specialist in the South region, has worked for C3 since July 2013. Marlee provides assessments to children and also leads developmental classes. She enjoys using her skills as an early childhood educator to help parents understand their very important role in their child’s development. She works hard to strengthen bonds between children and their families through helping families to meet their children’s unique needs.
Mary Hermes, C3 Physical Therapist in the South region, comes to C3 from Developmental Services, where she was the lead physical therapist. Mary graduated from physical therapy school at Columbia University in New York and completed her undergraduate degree at Valparaiso University in Indiana. She is board certified as a clinical specialist in pediatrics and has extensive experience with children from birth to age 3. She is a “Happiest Baby on the Block” and an infant massage educator. As she is now in a doctoral program in pediatric science, please offer her some caffeine when you see her. Mary enjoys her career as a pediatric physical therapist because she gets to use science and creativity to directly impact children’s lives – and play with toys all day.
Melissa Sartori, C3 Speech-Language Pathologist in the South region, has a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of the Pacific. Melissa is bilingual and specializes in working in clinical settings with children (from birth to age 6) with speech-language delays. Melissa loves being a part of the C3 team and its unique ability to provide specialized services to children, to empower families and to encourage children to grow and shine as effective communicators.
Miriam Iniguez, C3 Developmental Services Aide in the South region, has worked for C3’s Developmental team since May 2009. During her time with Healthy Development Services and C3, she has provided support to Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and the Assessment staff. Miriam is knowledgeable of the ages and stages for typically developing children and has 10 years of teaching experience in the early childhood setting. She received her associate’s degree from San Diego Community College in 2003 and plans to continue her work preparing infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers for elementary school and beyond.
