Research and Clinical Trials
Rady Children’s Pediatric and Adolescent Dermatology Division conducts more clinical trials than any other pediatric dermatology program in the country. The research team has published extensively, with more than 500 studies in prominent medical journals, and has made more than 520 presentations locally, nationally and around the world.
Among our ongoing clinical trials, the Center is participating in an international clinical trial evaluating the safety and effectiveness of propranolol (a beta-blocker) for treating significant and deforming hemangiomas in infants.
