Rady Children's HomeCare provides comprehensive services for newborns, infants, children, adolescents, young adults, and post-partum patients. All of our services are licensed and/or certified as appropriate and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizatons. Experienced staff is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Home Health Services
Intermittent visits (generally less than two hours in length) are provided by registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists. Services include:
- Comprehensive assessments
- Phototherapy
- Skilled procedures and treatments
- Rehab therapy services
- Post-hospitalization/ER visit transition to home
- Ostomy/wound care
- Patient/parent teaching
- IV/infusion
- Maternal/child services
- Social Work
Service Area: San Diego and southern Riverside counties
Home Infusion Pharmacy
IV/injectable medications are provided safely and cost-effectively and are dispensed and monitored as appropriate by experienced clinical pharmacists in collaboration with the physician. A pharmacist consultation is available, and medications can be delivered to the patient's home, work, or physician's office.
Medications and services include:
- IV/IM antiinfective therapies
- Antihemophilia factor products
- IV hydration
- RSV prevention program, utilizing Synagis
- Immune therapies
- Biotech and specialty injectable medications
- Chemotherapy
- Enteral formula, supplies and pumps
- Pain management
Service Area: San Diego, Imperial and Riverside counties.
HomeCare Liaison RNs are available Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m..-5 p.m,. to assist with coordinating home care referrals at Rady Children's and facilities throughout the region.
