Welcome to the Occupational Therapy Department at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. Our goal is to enable children of all ages to participate in daily activities by helping them develop their:

• Motor skills
• Cognitive skills
• Social skills
• Adaptive skills

We provide evaluations and individualized or group interventions as well as caregiver education. Our group programs include:

• Little Steps for Little Feeders
• Feeding and Swallowing  
• Pathways
• Bridges

Our staff addresses a wide range of diagnostic and rehabilitation services, including:

• Self-care training
• Hand rehabilitation
• Splint fabrication
• Sensory integration
• Feeding and swallowing
• Developmental activities

We provide occupational therapy services in the Hospital (inpatient), at our outpatient clinic and in the home. Our occupational therapists are registered and licensed by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and the Board of Occupational Therapy in California. They have graduated from universities accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
