Ken Taylor, M.D.
Dr. Ken Taylor is a primary care physician with fellowship training and certification as a specialist in sports medicine. He practices both family medicine and sports medicine at La Jolla Family and Sports Medicine.
Dr. Taylor is co-team physician for the San Diego professional indoor soccer franchise, the Sockers, and Head Team Physician for UC San Diego Intercollegiate and Club Athletics. Dr. Taylor is also medical director for the International Surfing Association, developing medical protocols and providing event coverage at the World Surfing Games in such locations as Tahiti, Portugal and Costa Rica.
Dr. Taylor is the director of UC San Diego Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship and is involved in clinical research trials related to sports medicine.

Athletics have been part of Ken's life since he was a boy. He was a multi-sport athlete in high school, played college soccer at UC San Diego and surfed in the UC San Diego Cancer Center Luau Surfing Invitational. He enjoys many activities including soccer, surfing, tennis, triathlons, cycling, running, strength training and hiking/backpacking. He now has two young sports buddies, sons Griffin and Gavin.
