Projects Office

The Projects Office supports the Rady Children's Research Center's mission of promoting and conducting scholarly investigations by providing services that lead to activation of research protocols.

The Projects Office is responsible for:

1. Coordinating the review process of new research protocols submitted to Research Administration for institutional approval. All research conducted at Rady Children's is required to undergo protocol content review and informed consent review prior to Institutional Review Board review. Administrative review is also required. The Projects Office conducts a weekly meeting of the content, consent and administrative reviewers to enable timely implementation of research projects.
2. Logging all new research protocols into the Research Administration Database System (RADS) so that projects can be tracked through the research process.
3. Providing pre-award services for investigators seeking grant funding. Post-award services are provided by the Office of Grants and Contracts.
