Family-Centered Care
While Rady Children’s physicians and staff are experts in healthcare for children, you are the expert on your child. As such, you are our partner on your child's healthcare team.
Family-centered care means that we believe in a partnership between healthcare providers, patients and families for the planning, evaluation and delivery of your child’s care. We respect and honor the diverse values, traditions and needs of each family and strive to support families in caring for their child. Sharing information is an important part of that partnership, and we encourage you to share your observations about your child’s progress. We will share information about your child’s condition and try to keep you informed every step of the way.
