Dr. Janet Yoon is director of the Solid Tumor Program at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and a clinical professor of pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology.

Dr. Yoon earned her medical degree at the Medical College of Ohio (Toledo), completed her pediatric residency at the Medical University of South Carolina (Charleston) and went on to complete her pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Dr. Yoon's clinical interests are focused on pediatric solid tumors. As director of the solid tumor program, she works closely with the surgeons and radiation oncologists. She also facilitates multidisciplinary tumor board conferences to discuss solid tumor cases. She is actively involved in solid tumor clinical trials as both a principal investigator and a co-investigator. She is a member of the Children's Oncology Group, American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and the International Society of Pediatric Oncology.

Dr. Yoon enjoys teaching medical students, pediatric residents and pediatric hematology/oncology fellows. She was awarded the inaugural Dr. William D. Roberts Pediatric Hematology Oncology Faculty Teaching Award in 2016.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family in beautiful San Diego.
