Dr. John Stirling is a pediatrician at the Chadwick Center for Children and Families at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego.

Board certified in the subspecialty of child abuse pediatrics, Dr. Stirling served as director of the Center for Child Protection at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, California, from 2007 to 2016. The Center provided evaluations of suspected child maltreatment and a medical home for foster children that was created under his leadership.

As an adjunct professor of pediatrics, he also originated and chaired the Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Committee at Stanford Children's Hospital. Dr. Stirling has served on the American Academy of Pediatrics' Committee on Child Abuse and Neglect, receiving the Academy's Award for Outstanding Service to Maltreated Children.
