1 mL Blood collected EDTA lavender-top tube is only acceptable from NEONATES LESS THAN 60 DAYS OLD and immunocompromised patients. Do not collect in microtainer.

Processing Instructions

Separate plasma from cells within 2 hours of collection and transfer plasma to a screw-cap tube. DO NOT USE SNAP-CAP TUBES. Place CSF/plamsa in a small clear bag and place in -80 freezer MDL (PCR) bin ASAP.
