Collection Instructions

Insert swab into posterior nasopharynx and rotate; repeat with other nostril. Place swab in viral transport media (VTM red cap) or Universal Transport Media (green cap), and transport to laboratory ASAP.

Rejection Criteria

Shared specimen previously used for other tests. Sources other than NP swabs or swabs not immediately placed in viral media. Leaking specimens.
