Elizabeth completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice through the University of San Diego, Hahn School of Nursing and is certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner. Her doctoral project was titled “Transition Program for Adolescents with Congenital Heart Disease.” Her nursing career began in 2007 when she earned an associate degree in nursing from Grossmont College, followed by a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Grand Canyon University. She has worked at Rady Children’s Hospital since 2003 in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Cardiology Clinic, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. She also holds a degree in cardiovascular technology and is a certified critical care nurse.


Nataly Rodriguez, C.P.N.P., M.S.
Nataly is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner with over 10 years of international experience in nursing, community service and medical response. She is committed to improving the health and well-being of children by giving thoughtful attention to the developmental needs of the child. Nataly received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University, where she also received her Master of Science degree in advanced practice nursing with a specialization in pediatric primary care. Nataly has experience working all over the world volunteering for AmeriCorps, Habitat for Humanity and most recently working with Whole Child International as a nurse practitioner candidate in El Salvador. Before joining Rady Children’s Hospital, Nataly worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner at a neurodevelopmental clinic. She was an integral part of the medical team and helped with all aspects of childcare, including conducting evaluations, making diagnoses and prescribing medications. Nataly has a strong interest in the neurodevelopment of children and the neonatal population. In addition to working in the NICU Neurodevelopmental Clinic, she also currently works in the NICU at Tri-City in Oceanside, Calif.
