The multidisciplinary Aerodigestive Clinic brings together specialists from Otolaryngology, Pulmonary/Respiratory Medicine and Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition to provide diagnosis and management of a variety of disorders involving the respiratory and digestive systems.
A comprehensive evaluation of your child and a treatment plan are provided in a single visit. Clinical services offered include a dysphagia study, esophageal manometry, esophageal impedance and pH studies, functional endoscopic evaluation of swallowing, specialized imaging studies, such as a computed tomography scan or upper gastrointestinal series, and triple endoscopy procedures.
The clinic is held twice monthly on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. Triple endoscopy procedures are also scheduled twice monthly on the second and fourth Thursdays.
The conditions we treat include:
- Aspiration syndrome
- Feeding difficulties
- Failure to thrive
- Genetic syndromes associated with airway and/or gastrointestinal morbidities
- Congenital airway abnormalities
- Chronic cough
- Recurrent pneumonia
