Hans Hilger Ropers, M.D.
Dr. Ropers has recently retired as director at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics (MPIMG) in Berlin, as professor for Human Genetics at the Free University Berlin (1994-2014) and as chairman of the Biomedical Section of the (former Prussian) Berlin Brandenburg Academy of Science (BBAW, 2008-2014). As a physician and first-generation board-certified clinical geneticist, he has a long-standing interest in the molecular elucidation, diagnosis and prevention of genetic disorders.
