Dr. Nathaniel Chuang is the chief of neuroradiology at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and a clinical professor of radiology at UC San Diego School of Medicine.

Dr. Chuang graduated from Brown University with undergraduate degrees in biophysics and East Asian studies before obtaining his M.D. from UC San Francisco. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology and fellowship in diagnostic neuroradiology at UC San Francisco before completing an additional fellowship in pediatric neuroradiology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.

Prior to joining San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 2003, Dr. Chuang was a staff neuroradiologist at the Hospital for Sick Children and an assistant professor of medical imaging at the University of Toronto, Canada. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology with a certificate of added qualification in neuroradiology.

Dr. Chuang is interested in all aspects of adult and pediatric neuroimaging, but most of all, the imaging of CNS malformations, epilepsy and the fetal brain and spine.
