Visitations
At Rady Children’s, we currently restrict visitors to only Partners in Care for the Hospital and clinics.
All other visitors, including auditors, contractors and vendors, are required to be fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination includes the official record card (digital photo or photocopy acceptable) or state digital record with QR code.
Partners in Care must follow infection control policies and have no symptoms of illness (including respiratory illness); be screened prior to entry; perform hand hygiene upon arrival, in the patient room and when leaving the room; and wear an approved facial covering at all times.
Inpatient units
Patients can have up to four Partners in Care, however, only two PICs can be at the patient’s bedside at a given time.
Surgical procedures
Only one parent/guardian is requested to accompany the patient and be in the waiting room. A second person may be allowed subject to surgical leadership approval.
Clinic and diagnostic appointments
We ask patients to have no more than one parent/guardian with them at a time. A second person may be allowed, subject to clinic leadership approval.

Visitation has been reinstated for this vulnerable population with limitations. Please consult with HBC for more information.
Visiting hours
Visiting hours may change throughout the year depending on viruses circulating within our community. Please call the Hospital to confirm visiting hours before you come to the Hospital.

En Rady Children’s, actualmente sólo permitimos la visita de las personas asociadas con el cuidado en el hospital y las clínicas.

Whether your child is coming to us for a routine checkup, a surgical procedure, a hospital stay or emergency care, we strive to make you and your child feel safe, comfortable and part of our healthcare team. A Room with a Zoo
San Diego Zoo Kids, a television channel featuring programming about unique and endangered animal species, is available in every patient room and waiting areas. It is made possible through partnership between Rady Children’s and San Diego Zoo Global, and a generous gift by businessman and philanthropist T. Denny Sanford.
