Newsweek Recognizes Rady Children’s as Among World’s Best Specialized Hospitals

San Diego, Calif. – Sept. 22, 2021 – Newsweek has awarded Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego a spot on its list of World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2022. This prestigious designation is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list was announced on Sept. 22, 2021 and can currently be viewed on Newsweek’s website.

The World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2022 ranking identifies the best hospitals that specialize in Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Oncology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, Cardiac Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Pulmonology.

“At Rady Children’s, we are committed to leading the way in pediatric medicine by providing advanced, patient-focused care, whether it’s mending a broken bone or sequencing a child’s genome,” said Rady Children’s President and CEO Patrick Frias, MD. “It’s gratifying to know that Newsweek recognizes our enduring commitment to providing the full spectrum of care for every child.”

Newsweek and Statista invited more than 40,000 medical experts—including doctors, hospital managers, and health care professionals—to participate in online surveys that allowed them to recommend and assess various hospitals within their respective specializations. The results of the survey were then validated by a global board of renowned medical experts.
