Rady Children’s Invitational College Basketball Tournament Announces 2024 Tournament Teams

Tournament Set for November 28-29 Televised by Fox Sports
Purdue, Arkansas, Notre Dame and BYU set for to play in 2024

SAN DIEGO (Oct. 24, 2023)– Sports San Diego announced today the field for the 2024 Rady Children’s Invitational will feature Purdue, Arkansas, Notre Dame, and BYU. The two-day tournament will take place on November 28-29 at LionTree Arena on the campus of UC San Diego.

“We’re fired up to have these top college basketball programs with amazing tradition and fan bases set to play in San Diego next year,” said Mark Neville, CEO of Sports San Diego. Together with Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego, FOX Sports, UC San Diego Athletics, and Global Sports & Events – we endeavor to produce the very best and most special early season college basketball tournament in the country. San Diego is the perfect place to do this. We wanted to bring top college programs each year for this event and were very proud of our field for 2024.”

Fans who purchase tickets to the 2023 Rady Children’s Invitational will have first priority to the 2024 tournament.

The inaugural Rady Children’s Invitational tips off on November 23, 2023. The 2023 field includes the Iowa Hawkeyes (Big Ten), USC Trojans (Pac-12), Seton Hall Pirates (Big East) and the Oklahoma Sooners (Big 12). Tickets are currently on sale, and games will be broadcast on FS1 (Thursday) and FOX (Friday).

Ticket prices range from $35 to $125 per session.  Full tournament tickets will be available. Fans wanting to purchase tickets are encouraged to visit www.RadyChildrensInvitational.com. In addition, $5 per ticket sold will be donated to Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego

About the 2024 Rady Children’s Invitational Teams:

Purdue University:

Has reached two Final Fours, won 25 Big Ten titles and has made the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament 13 times. In addition, Purdue has sent 30 players to the NBA.

Arkansas:

The Razorbacks are a top-twenty-five program all-time by winning percentage (.641), top-twenty program by games played, top-twenty program by NCAA Tournament games won and top-fifteen program in Final Four with 6 appearances.

Notre Dame:

The Fighting Irish have made 37 NCAA tournament appearance which included 17 Sweet Sixteen’s and 7 trips to the Elite 8. Notre Dame leads all schools with 3 of the 18 total 3-time Consensus All-American selections.

BYU:

The Cougars have won 27 conference championships and competed in 29 NCAA Tournaments. In addition, BYU has won 1,786 games, ranking 12th among all Division I programs.
