Dr. Benjamin Keller is a pediatric surgeon as Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Surgery at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
Dr. Keller received his undergraduate degree in molecular and cellular biology at the University of Illinois and completed his medical education at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He then traveled to Sacramento California and the University of California, for his general surgery residency. Following this, Dr. Keller completed his pediatric surgery fellowship at the University of California, San Diego and Rady Children's Hospital.
During his residency, Dr. Keller spent three years in the UC Davis Surgical Bioengineering lab working on stem cell and fetal surgical treatments for spina bifida, building training simulators for trauma care delivery and performing clinical research on novel strategies for pain management following chest wall surgery.
Dr. Keller's clinical interests include congenital diseases of the newborn, minimally invasive surgery, chest wall surgery, pediatric surgical oncology and trauma care.
