Bio

Dr. Denise Malicki is chief of the Division of Pathology at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and a clinical assistant professor of pathology at UC San Diego School of Medicine.

Her clinical interests are in the broad practice of pediatric pathology, with special interest in neuropathology and blood banking. Her research efforts are diverse but focused on pediatric brain tumors. Additionally, she enjoys teaching medical staff and students in all aspects of pediatric pathology.

A graduate of the UC San Diego Medical Scientist Training Program, Dr. Malicki completed the UC San Diego Pathology Internship/Residency (Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology program), followed by a pediatric pathology fellowship at Baylor University. She is board certified in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology, as well as pediatric pathology.

When not working, Dr. Malicki enjoys hiking and listening to birds sing.
