Dr. Ethan Frank is a fellowship-trained pediatric otolaryngologist at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego and an associate physician at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Born and raised in Southern California, he attended medical school at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He then migrated closer to the beach for his fellowship in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology at Rady Children’s Hospital.
His clinical interests include surgery for airway and swallowing issues in children and he is an active member of the hospital’s multidisciplinary aerodigestive team. He also participates in the multidisciplinary complex sleep apnea clinic and vascular malformations clinic. His research interests include outcomes and quality improvement research for common pediatric otolaryngology procedures such as tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy as well as investigating treatment strategies for children with aerodigestive tract disorders.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his son—going to the beach, riding bikes, or playing Minecraft—reading, and attempting to learn how to surf.
