Bio

Eve Nguyen, Ph.D., is a pediatric psychologist who serves as Manager of Pediatric Psychology Services within the Medical Practice Foundation and oversees the pediatric psychology training program at Rady Children's Health. This program includes training tracks for the APA-accredited pediatric psychology residency through UC San Diego, as well as externships with the UCSD/SDSU Joint Doctoral Program and Alliant International University. She is also an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UC San Diego.

Dr. Nguyen is the dedicated psychologist for the Endocrinology Division and actively participates in several multidisciplinary centers, including the CHARGE Syndrome Center and the STAR Center (which focuses on Differences of Sexual Development and Turner syndrome).

She earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology with an emphasis in pediatric psychology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Dr. Nguyen completed her psychology residency at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Kennedy Krieger Institute, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Orange County, where she later became an attending psychologist in pediatric psycho-oncology.

Her clinical and research interests include promoting adherence in youth with chronic medical conditions, improving quality of life for adolescents and young adults (AYA), and addressing the psychosocial and health needs unique to this population. She is also committed to engaging underserved communities to improve access to mental health support and reduce stigma. Her work has been published in the Journal of Pediatric Psychology and other peer-reviewed journals.
