Dr. Matthew Bock is the medical director of the pediatric heart failure and transplantation program at Rady Children's Hospital of San Diego and a volunteer associate professor of Pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
Dr. Bock graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine, prior to post-doctoral training at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital, Mount Sinai Medical Center, and Northwestern University. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). Additionally, he is an active member of the American Heart Association (AHA), American College of Cardiology (ACC), International Society for Heart and Lung Transplant (ISHLT), Pediatric Heart Transplant Society (PHTS), Advanced Cardiac Therapies Innovating Outcomes Network (ACTION), and the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA).
Dr. Bock has over twenty peer-reviewed publications, has written a book chapter, and has made numerous presentations at national and international conferences on heart failure and transplantation.
Dr. Bock is married to his beautiful wife, Diana, and they enjoy spending time outdoors together and with their cats.
