Sarah Wiegand, D.O.

Bio

Dr. Sarah Wiegand is a child neurologist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Neurosciences at UC San Diego School of Medicine.

Dr. Wiegand cares for children with a variety of neurological disorders and has a special interest in fetal and neonatal neurology. She is passionate about medical education and is excited to teach medical students, pediatric residents and neurology trainees.

Dr. Wiegand earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and her master's degree from Georgetown University. She completed her medical training at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Fla., followed by a pediatric residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School and child neurology training at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

She is a member of the Child Neurology Society and serves on the Membership Committee. She is also a member of the American Academy of Neurology.
