Dr. Tzyynong (Tina) Liou Friesen is a board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric otolaryngologist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and an associate physician in the Department of Surgery at UC San Diego. She completed her medical degree and residency training at Washington University in St. Louis followed by a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at the UC San Diego/Rady Children's Hospital.

Dr. Friesen is dedicated to treating a variety of ear, nose and throat diseases in children, and she is particularly interested in the diseases of the airway and masses of the head and neck. She has extensive training in head and neck surgery as well as endoscopic procedures, including endoscopic laser surgery.

Outside of work, she is an avid hiker and a cyclist. She also has a soft spot for dogs and beluga whales.
