Dr. Wendy Hunter is a board-certified pediatrician at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and faculty member in the UC San Diego Department of Pediatrics, division of pediatric emergency medicine.

She earned her medical degree at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and completed her residency in pediatrics at UC San Diego where she also served as chief resident.

Dr. Hunter's clinical and research interests include communicating the science of pediatric medicine to caregivers and to other health care professionals. She lectures on the science behind children's symptoms and behaviors to parent and professional groups and writes a blog called BabyScience. She has also written feature articles for Parents magazine.

When not working, Dr. Hunter leads a Girl Scout troop, volunteers with the United Way Women's Leadership Council and spends time with her husband and two children.
