Whole blood received > 24 hours old

Processing Instructions

Separate and freeze serum within 2 hours of collection. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Complete a Verisit Wisconsin Hemostasis requisition and submit with whole blood room temp ***and** serum frozen Monday-Thursday only, no weekends or holidays.

Comments

Insurance authorization is required prior to draw for outpatients. Ok to send on inpatients.
