Serum separator tube (SST) or plasma collected in a lithium heparin (green-top) tube (PST) is also acceptable. Physician or NBS Program will provide patient or Outpatient Lab the Stanford Biotinidase Deficiency Confirmatory Test requisition to submit with the specimen to send outs in the main lab.

Separate serum or plasma from cellls ASAP and freeze immdiately. CRITICAL FROZEN. Complete the Standford Biotinidase Deficiency Confirmatory Testing requisition and submit with serum or plasma frozen. Send Monday-Thursday ONLY. No weekend or holiday delivery.
