Plasma
Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Pharmacokinetics Lab
LAB00127
1-3 mL Blood
Dark Green (Sodium Heparin)
Label blood tubes with the actual clock time drawn. For IV busulfan, draw times are related to the starting time of a 2 hour (120 minute) infusion. For instance, the 135 minute draw would be done 15 minutes after the end of infusion, the 150 minute draw would be done 30 minutes after the end of infusion, the 3 hour drawn would be done 1 hour after the end of infusion, etc. Immediately after specimen collection place on wet ice slurry and refrigerated at 4 C. Busulfan degrades rapidly at room temp. Submit each specimen to lab on wet ice immediately after collection.
Frozen-Only
1.5 mL Plasma
