Collection Instructions
Bone Marrow or Whole Blood collected in an ACD Solution A/B (yellow-top) tube is also acceptable. Complete the Cell Isolation Request for Chimerism, Post-Transplant, Sorted Cells form and send with specimen to the lab. Increase the amount of bone marrow/whole blood submitted based on the number of cell lineages requested and for patients with low cell counts.

Complete an ARUP requisition and submit with completed Cell Isolation Request for Chimerism, Post-Transplant, Sorted Cells form with specimen room temp or refrigerated. Indicate separate test codes for each cell lineage as indicated on form by BMT. T Cells (3005393), B Cells (3005401), CD33 (3005409), Granulocytes (3005417), Monocytes (3005425), CD34 (3005433) and/or CD56 (3005441). Send with daily Apollo courier pick up.
Comments
Insurance authorization is required prior to draw for outpatients. Ok to send on inpatients. T Cells (3005393), B Cells (3005401), CD33 (3005409), Granulocytes (3005417), Monocytes (3005425), CD34 (3005433) and/or CD56 (3005441).
