Bone marrow, 1-3 mL or Whole Blood, 3-5 mL; Green vacutainer (sodium heparin only). Dark blue or tan top sodium heparin tubes are acceptable containers for this test. Ship at room temperature. Do not freeze. SPECIMEN VIABILITY DECREASES DURING TRANSIT. SEND SPECIMEN TO TESTING LAB FOR VIABILITY DETERMINATION. DO NOT REJECT.

Insurance Authorization is required prior to draw for outpatients. Ok to send on inpatients. No special send out forms needed.
