Collection Instructions
Bone marrow or whole blood collected in sodium heparin (royal blue-top) or sodium heparin (tan-top) tubes are also acceptable. Bone marrow in culture transport medium is also acceptable. Clinical history/reason for refrerral is rquired with test order. Prior therapy and transplant history should be provided with test order. Specimen viability decreases in transit. Send specimens to testing lab for viability determination. Do not reject.
