Collection Instructions
**DO NOT COLLECT in Lithium Heparin (Green-Top) Tubes (PST ). THEY WILL BE REJECTED.** Serum collected in a serum separator tube (SST or plasma collected in a sodium heparin (dark green-top) or EDTA (lavender-top) tube is also acceptable. Samples are commonly drawn approximately 12 hours after the last dose of lithium has been taken.
