Urine, sterile body fluids, tissue, wound swabs, respiratory (sputum, bronchial washings, tracheobronchial secretions, bronchial alveolar lavage (BAL)/wash, nasopharyngeal swab or throat swab) collected in a VCM medium (green-cap) tube or equivalent (UTM) container is also acceptable. Respiratory specimens are only acceptable from children under 1 year old.
