Inpatients use RCIGM..... orders and work with RCIGM for test approval. Outpatients require insurance authorization, genetic counseling appointment and special paperwork packet prior to draw. Outpatient test can be sent elsewhere only when patient's estimated cost makes test unaffordable at RCIGM.
